Differenciate Consulting was established to help both distributors and suppliers in the promotional product industry develop effective sales training, go-to market strategies, supply chain management and company evaluation including exit strategies and merger guidance.

Tierney Culmer is the Owner & President of Culmer Pen, a Canadian 3rd-generation family business that supplies branded fine writing instruments the likes of Cross & Sheaffer to both the retail and promotional product marketplaces. Drawing on her 30+ years of entrepreneurial experience, Tierney continues to deliver double-digit growth by marketing top quality brands as well as her own Culmer brand, personally developed & designed. A life-long subscriber to the customer-centric approach, Tierney relies on trusted and enduring relationships with her buyer network to ensure her company offerings are always aligned with customer needs. Tierney is a graduate of Queens University, the past president of the Promotional Products Professionals Canada, Ontario Chapter, and mother of three.

Mitch leads Genumark’s sales activities, including client acquisition and new growth initiatives. Mitch comes from a management consulting background, previously working as a Senior Consultant at KPMG and a Senior Analyst at SECOR Consulting, Canada’s largest independent management consulting firm. Prior to Genumark, Mitch co-founded and was the General Manager of an experiential entertainment company called POP Experience. Mitch earned an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, IL and an HBA from The Ivey School of Business at Western University in London, ON. In 2019, Mitch was featured on Counselor® magazine’s Hot List, which recognizes the top 20 up-and-coming young professionals in the North American promo merchandising market.

Alex was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, where he completed his undergrad at the University of British Columbia, before moving to Toronto. While studying business, physics, urban development and English, he developed a love and passion for music – the primary reason for his move to Toronto. Some twenty years later, he heads-up sales and marketing for Canada’s largest supplier of promotional hard goods and is an owner of HUB Promotional Group. Alex has three kids, a wife, and not nearly enough time to play music as frequently as he’d like. An investor in a variety of companies, Alex enjoys using his creativity and communication skills to seek opportunities and navigate new frontiers. Alex’s lifelong pursuit is the attainment of simplicity in its purest form.

Karen Spencer of Creative Solutions & Ideas, with over 33 years of Industry experience has worked both as a Supplier principle and Supplier Multi Line Representative. As an MLR Karen has been acknowledged by PPPC with numerous image awards. Karen attributes her longevity and success in the business to the support of her numerous award winning suppliers and distributors but most especially to her passion for Promotional products! No one gets more excited about a water bottle or a post it note.

Chris Turner is an experienced sales & product marketing manager connecting premium brands and distributors within the corporate promotional and sporting good retail channels for the past 25 years. Born in British Columbia, raised in Québec and now residing in Ontario, Chris has worked with industry-leading suppliers such as Nike, adidas, TaylorMade, Ash City and spent the last 5 years as Director of Sales and part of the leadership team at Stormtech.
